CHINE, dynastie Sui (581-618)
Stèle en pierre sculptée
Représentant une triade Taoiste formée d'une figure centrale assise en padmasana sur une base rectangulaire elle même ornée d'une longue inscription. Le personnage central est flanqué de deux serviteurs drapés dans de longues robes. Nombreuses traces de polychromies.
L'inscription sur la base relate la commande de cette stele par un certain Chang (?) pour en faire cadeau à sa famille, ainsi qu'une date cyclique correspondant au 8 Novembre de l'an 586.

CHINA, Sui Dynasty (581-618) A painted grey stone Daoist triad stele, the central figure seated in padmasana on a rectangular plinth incised with a lengthy inscription in the front part, it is flanked on either sides by buddhist lions and two diminutive Daoist immortals dressed in heavy robes.
The inscription states that this figure was ordered by person named Chang (?) as a tribute to his parents also bears a cyclical date corresponding to November 8th of year 586.
